“Have you seen the checkbook laying around?”
We recognize that the days of remembering to bring your checkbook to church are fading fast.  People like you and me are using checks less and less.  In fact, since 2003, the number of checks written have dropped so drastically that the Federal Reserve closed down all 45 check-processing sites nationwide, and now only operate one in Cleveland, Ohio! Plus, with using the checkbook less and less, to try and find it when heading out the door with the family on a Sunday morning is a challenge in itself!
Then there is cash…
Gone are the days of carrying cash.  Only one in four purchases are now made with cash, and that number continues to drop. The reality is, most of us carry a debit card, a couple credit cards, and about $20 (MAX!) at any given time, if we’re lucky. There’s more store discount cards and receipts in our purses and wallets than there are monetary bills! But we have come up with a great option for you to give…and not forget!

It’s so easy, anyone that can click a mouse can do it!

How do I give?
Using a secure PayPal account (you can easily create one, and it’s free!), you can now give to MFMC online and never have to worry about finding your checkbook or digging in your pocket for cash again!  Simply click on the button above and you’ll be taken to the MFMC PayPal account page.  Just log in (or create an account for the first time) and then input the amount you wish to give.  You can use the Note lines to designate where you would like portions of your offering to be applied (for example, Budget, Building Fund, Missions, etc.).  If no designation is given, by default your entire donation will be applied to the ministry budget for MFMC.  A complete record of every gift you make will be kept, and a giving statement will be mailed to you annually.  Every donation is tax-deductible.

Look, this isn’t about getting more money from you. This isn’t about the church just trying to always get into people’s wallets.  This is about US making sure YOU don’t miss out on what the Bible calls US to do: give generously, be a blessing, enjoy prosperity through giving, and tithe.

Proverbs 11:24-25 says, “There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, and there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered.”

Are you going to get rich giving?  Maybe.  Maybe not. God doesn’t promise that He always repays cash for cash, but most wealthy Christians will tell you they have what they have because they give what they give…the cheerful ones at least.  But, that’s not why we give.  We give because it is His to begin with.  We give because it creates GAP in our lives where only God can show up and replenish, as He promises. We give because God loves a cheerful giver. We give because we believe in the work and the mission of MFMC.  And most important, we give because it’s an act of worship to our Almighty King.
About Credit Cards
We need to stress the importance of the moral and biblical implications of giving. NEVER give money you don’t physically have in an account.  We never encourage you to tithe using a credit card unless you are financially responsible enough to pay it off at the end of every billing cycle.  NEVER go into debt to give to the church.  It says in Proverbs that the debtor is slave to the lender, and Jesus said that you can’t serve two masters, God and money. God loves a cheerful giver, not an irresponsible one.  Ok, He loves them too, but doesn’t want them in the trap of debt. :) If you struggle with your finances, you’re not alone.  Come talk to us, as we have resources available to help you learn what the Bible says about money, and how you can have financial peace, and learn the joy of giving.
